Here’s an example of a good color range to work with to suit the era.

It’s a good idea to snag some props, too. Some are pretty easy to come by at thrift stores or online for a good price, like some retro cat eye shades or a comb. Old 45s are also great decor. Cut out some paper accessories if you’re really riding on a budget, or find some pre-made on Amazon.

 If you’re really shooting for a full-on aesthetic, hire a photographer. For cheaper photos, Instagram has some great vintage photo filters. You can even find apps that will make your photos look retro. What a time to be alive!
