How Much Do Gaming Chairs Cost For Serious Gamers?

We all enjoy a casual game from time to time, but for those of you who spend hours and hours gaming ergonomic furniture is a must. Every single one of us has probably felt the pains of sitting in an uncomfortable chair for hours on end. It’s not a good feeling. This is why every serious gamer, and those who aspire to become one, need a good gaming chair. If you’re inexperienced you’re probably wondering how much is a gaming chair. Gaming chairs have diverse price ranges, from $50 to $1000 or more. So, it’s very important to know what you’re looking for and to check if you’re getting all of that for the price you’re paying. Not to mention the country you’re purchasing from can also make a significant difference. If you choose to purchase a gaming chair in Canada compared to the United States, you’ll pay the conversion costs for the currency as well as shipping.

What to look for

As we’ve mentioned before, you need to consider the chair’s ergonomics. This means you need to check if it gives the right support to all of your body parts and if you can adjust it parts for maximum support. For example, an ergonomic chair should enable your back, neck, and shoulders to be aligned in a way that allows you to sit for hours without feeling uncomfortable. Such chairs tend to cost above $100.

A chair that offers good lumbar support (so you don’t get any back pains at the age of 20) on average costs more than $150.

Another important feature is the tension recline control. You can adjust the chair’s reclination when you apply pressure. If you choose to set this on difficult it will be much easier for you to stand upright than on other chairs that don’t have the option. Such chairs cost $100 or above.

Something that we rarely consider when buying a chair is armrests. They are very important, especially for gamers, as they can define the gaming area. Adjustable armrests will make it easier for you to switch between PC and console gaming. These chairs cost $85 or above.

When buying a gaming chair, you should definitely consider the material it’s made of. Of course, the padding is critical for your maximum comfort. But the external material is equally as important. You don’t want to be spending a fortune on a chair so that it will flake or crack right away. Fake leather is most commonly used, and it’s great because it’s easy to clean and pretty durable. But if you tend to sweat a lot you should be looking for more breathable materials, for example, breathable nylon. This will probably cost more.

How to choose

Gamers tend to spend hours and hours sitting, so it’s important to have a good gaming chair not only to make them feel comfortable and make the gaming experience more enjoyable. It’s also important so that there aren’t any other indications like back or neck pain or even soars.  Of course, the better the features, the higher the price, so you should maybe spend some time analyzing your needs. For example, do you have trouble with your posture, do you sweat a lot, etc. This will help you find the perfect chair for the right price. If you are a serious gamer you should really consider investing in a really good chair.
