3 of Our Favorite Colorful Cocktails to Try This Summer

Ready to ring in all things summer-related? Then transition from the drab weather into the colorful season of sunshine and fun times. Whether you’re in the backyard or at a socially distanced picnic in the park, one of our favorite ways to welcome warm weather is with some tasty cocktails. Here are some of our favorite colorful cocktails to try this summer—don’t miss out.

Raspberry Mango Margarita

Frozen drinks and summer—it’s a rite of passage! Do yourself the favor this season and try out this raspberry mango margarita. You’ll have to make the raspberry margarita first; pour it into a separate pitcher (or straight into the glass), rinse out the blender, and make the mango margarita. Here are the ingredients.

For the raspberry marg:

  • 1 ½ cups of frozen raspberries
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup Chambord
  • 2 cups ice

For mango marg:

  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 2 cups ice

Blueberry Mojito

Mojitos are delicious summer treats, but you can make it even better just by adding some blueberries. This blueberry mojito is a scrumptious and colorful cocktail you should try this summer. It turns into a beautiful blue and minty concoction that’s definitely Insta-worthy. Make it for your next backyard BBQ or just for a beautiful warm night.

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 ounces rum
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp. white sugar
  • Juice of two limes
  • 6 ounces club soda

Muddle the blueberries until smooth and set aside. This makes two drinks, so, in your chosen glasses, muddle mint leaves and sugar together, then stir in rum, lime juice, and the blueberry mixture. Top it off with club soda and ice, stir, and enjoy!

Frozen Blue Lemonade Vodka Slushies

Here’s another frozen beverage; what’s more summery than blue lemonade? Make it for the Fourth of July, make it to match the blue sky, or make it whenever you want! Cool down and enjoy this tasty drink. It’s delicious on any day of the summer—even the rainy ones.

  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 cup Prosecco
  • 1/2 cup Blue Curaçao
  • 1/2 cup lemonade
  • 6 cups ice
  • Lemon wedge and sugar for rimming

In a blender, combine ingredients (except for rimming ingredients) and blend until just combined. When you’ve reached your desired consistency, rub a lemon wedge around the rim, roll it in sugar, and pour in your drink.

We hope you enjoy these three colorful cocktails. Play around with the different flavors and see what ways you can make the rainbow pour into your glass. However, make sure you’re sticking with healthy drinking habits—don’t drink too much or too often. Drink responsibly and stay safe.
