The 2 Best Red Wine in England You Can Pick Up For Under £6

Photo by S Siga on Unsplash

Nothing makes you feel more homely than a nice bottle of red to compliment evenings watching television eating a microwave meal as cold winds blow threateningly outside. However, wine is often perceived as an expensive alternative to beer, which is more accessible and popular nationwide. To remedy this I have complied a list of the best red wines available in England under £6 to allow you to get a cheap (but delicious) taste of red on offer. After having a couple of these you will be ready to delve into the wonderful and pricey world of wine.

#1 Tesco’s Finest South African Shiraz £5.50

Tesco's Finest South African Shiraz is a spicy and medium bodied wine made from the grapes of the Breede Valley in South Africa. I enjoyed the wine very much, there are tastes of berry, mint, nutmeg, and chocolate which work well together to create an enjoyable drinking experience.

#2 Hardy’s Varietel Range Shiraz

Hardy's Varietel Range Shiraz is a bold and spicy wine made from the grapes of South Eastern Australia. This is a well-rounded Shiraz with tones of plum and berry enhanced by the spice on its finish, a great pairing with tomato dishes.
