A healthy relationship involves some level of dependence on each other. Where it starts to become unhealthy is when this dependence is one-sided and consuming. Have you stopped spending time with your friends? Do you only ever see your friends if your partner wants to come along too? Maybe you’ve dropped your favorite sports or hobbies to take up the same ones as your partner. Whatever the case may be, if you’ve selectively given up your independence, you’re too attached! The good news is, there’s still time to fix this. You don’t have to break up with them, just start taking small steps to regain this independence.
