Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman (19/50)

I love this book because it is so indicative of the human condition. It offers explanations into why we think the way we do, and how we can learn to analyze our thinking. The analysis of “our two selves” is a game changer. It allows you to realize that memories (or rather our memories of particular events) do shape our outlook and choices.

This can sometimes give us an illusion that is contrary to reality. It can change the value of particular events. By understanding how our two selves work together to help us make judgments and decisions, we can make better choices in life and work. We can learn how to protect ourselves from bad decisions or ill-thought-out ones.
