The Connaught is a 5-star luxury hotel located in London’s fashionable Mayfair, which conflates traditional and contemporary styles throughout the hotel. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here on numerous occasions through the years, choosing a classic room on some occasions, and more contemporary on others, to suit my mood.
The hotel is the perfect retreat for business travellers, who want to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The ‘Aman Spa’ located deep within the hotel is an idyllic oasis for releasing stresses, and the Michelin-starred restaurant will allow you to fully engage your food porn addiction.
As a bookworm, my favourite retreat is the Library Suite, a split-level contemporary suite lined with art, photography, iconography, and floor to ceiling wooden book cases filled with a range of different books from classics to engross yourself in, to large coffee table books that you can casually leaf through as you unwind with a chilled glass of your favourite tipple by the fire.
