Named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei, the mosque sits at the very heart of Bandar Seri Begawan city. Built in 1958, it is set amid its own lagoon (with a docked ship), surrounded by lush greenery and floral gardens, with its gold dome shining in the bright daylight.
