My new novel HALF THE CHILD chronicles a different type of love story–the relationship between a devoted dad and his young son, who ages from 2 to 5 during the course of a painful custody and abduction drama. While there are numerous novels written from a mother’s perspective, this is the very rare story that is told from the point of view of a loving father.

HALF THE CHILD was a semi-finalist in both the James Jones First Novel Competition and the William Faulkner Creative Writing Competition. The novelist Tom De Haven (It’s Superman!) stated: It just may be the best novel I’ve ever read about a father’s love.
