When you approach a room you want to feel welcome; you want to feel the flow of energy moving through it; you want to feel at ease and you want to feel safe. In order to achieve that there must be no pieces of furniture blocking your pathway, no cords to trip over, no edges to have to dodge and no scary artwork that is off-putting. The human being is comfortable when there is personal space in a room with the ability to move around. There should be light, space, air and comfort. By comfort I don’t mean cushy pillows everywhere, I mean non-threatening and balanced.
