Glad to Be Dad is actually for wives as well as husbands, and I wrote it that way on purpose. For one thing, of course, wives need to learn to understand husbands, just as husbands need to learn to understand wives and the book is full of that process (including some of the hilariousness that ensues). It includes a chapter, for example, on Male-Female differences, taken straight from my life but pretty universal.
But the book is also about parenting in general, and a number of women have told me that they found it valuable for that reason. Before I became a mom, one said, I didn’t know how to change a diaper! Why would I?
