The Lowepro Backpack

Pros:

  • The Lowepro is extremely well designed, featuring external pockets that are both secure and convenient, allowing you to keep your gear out of harm’s way.
  • The bag’s superb design also makes it incredibly comfortable to carry, supporting you back and shoulders, helping to spread out the load.

Cons:

  • Some people may have liked a little more storage, however, unless you’re lugging around some serious kit, then it’s more than suitable.

The Abonnyc Backpack

Pros:

  • The well-rounded rucksack offers a lot of great features, making it one of the best on the market.
  • It’s incredibly durable, offering a high level of protection for your gear, which is exactly what a DSLR Backpack should do!
  • The bag is also incredibly customizable, offering a plethora of compartments, pockets, and straps to keep all of your bits-and-bobs organized.

Cons:

  • The front buckle is not tight enough, which causes the soft bag to expand quite a bit. A harder shell would sort this out.

The Abonnyc Backpack

Pros:

  • The Abonnyc DSL Backpack can be used both as a backpack and a sling.
  • The easy-access sling compartments make it easy to access your camera and accessories when you need to.
  • The Tardis-like bag is also rather roomy, with many small and big compartments.

Cons:

  • While there is a hidden rain cover built-in, it’s not the best and it may not offer much protection, especially during heavy rains.
  • While it is incredibly easy to access your gear when using it as a sling, things get a bit slower when you start using it as a backpack.

Notable mentions:

While there’s no doubting that the above products are easily the best DSLR Backpacks on the market, here at Fupping we understand that not everyone has the same tastes as us, which is why we have included some notable mentions:

Best designed:

It’s safe to say that DSLR backpacks are designed to be functional and not pretty, however, having both is always a plus. The BAGSMART DSLR rucksack is certainly the best-looking bag that we’ve seen to-date and, as well as looking great, it also works just as you would expect.

The fashionable addition to your camera equipment certainly has enough room to accommodate all of your gear, standing at 44cm, and the built-in laptop compartment makes it ideal for on-the-go work.

Pros:

  • As I’m sure you gathered by the subtitle, this bag looks great. If you want a bag that can be used for school/work as well as photography, then this is certainly for you.
  • With a laptop compartment (Fitting laptops up to 15.6”) and a number of padded compartments, the fashion accessory manages to be a good DSLR Backpack as well.
  • Straps on the side allow you to attach a tripod/ bipod, which is a feature that a lot of Photography Backpacks seem to miss out.

Cons:

  • We honestly couldn’t find any major, deal-breaker negatives to this bag. It’s great!

Affordable Photography:

When it comes to photography, we appreciate that most people don’t have a large, or even big, budget and that they simply do it as a hobby, which is why spending a lot of money on a backpack may seem silly to them. If you don’t want to let your smaller budget hold you back, then Amazon’s Basic DSLR backpack is ideal for you.

Manufactured by the retail giant themselves, Amazon’s basic line-up aims to provide the very best quality at an affordable price, which is evident the moment you take a look at their DSLR bag. While it may not be the best designed, largest, or even most comfortable rucksack out there, it’s honestly amazing for the price.

Pros:

  • The price! Like we mentioned, it’s part of Amazon’s basic line-up, providing a quality service at a reasonable price.
  • It’s actually rather spacious, accommodation two DSLR bodies as well as four extra lenses, giving the average photographer more than enough room!

Cons:

  • It doesn’t feature a waterproof cover and the shell is quite soft, although you can hardly complain when it is one of the most affordable options out there.
