Your hobbies should reflect your interests. If you love fresh air, you should try lots of hobbies that let you get outside! Of course, most activities are better if you can bring your friends along. We’ve made a list of four hobbies to try with your outdoorsy friends so you can get together and enjoy feeling the sun on your faces.
Windsurfing
Whether you’re close to lakes, rivers, or oceans, there are fantastic windsurfing activities all over the country—and the world! It may take a bit of practice to get used to windsurfing, but once you do, there’s no feeling like it. You’ll fly across the water, racing your friends to various rocks and buoys. At the end of the day, you’ll be exhausted in all the best ways, and you won’t want to wait to go again.
Hiking
Some people like trees more than water, and that’s OK! If you’d rather find yourself in the woods than on a beach, consider planning a hiking trip with some friends. You can catch up on everything going on in life while viewing gorgeous gorges, fantastic forests, and other forms of terrific terrain.
Rock Climbing
If hiking seems a little tame for you, ramp things up by introducing a splash of adrenaline. Rock climbing and bouldering are incredibly fun activities for people who want to enjoy terrain similar to what hiking offers but with more of a workout. Make sure to practice proper safety procedures on your climb—don’t forget ropes, harnesses, helmets, and climbing shoes!
Bowfishing
Let’s take things back to the water for our last hobby on this list: bowfishing. This sport combines archery and fishing into an activity full of excitement, precision, and lots of fun. Of course, you’ll have a better experience if you know what to look for in a quality bowfishing spot!
