There is no better idea to indulge kids of 8-year-olds in the gameplay than to sit with them and start playing. In each round, there is a narrator. He must secretly choose one of the six cards in his hand and then say a single sentence about it (which can be anything from a single word to a song). Then the other players choose a card from their own hands that matches the narrator’s phrase. So, with all the cards on the table, players need to vote on the card they believe is the narrator’s. This 2-6 person game is quick and easy to learn. You roll dice, just as in Yahtzee, and try to rack up points or take off the other monsters. There is technique, so it isn’t all dice tossing, but I believe luck plays a larger role throughout this game than genuine talent. But it’s not quite as skewed in the luck category as Yahtzee. You can however purchase cards that will either help you improve your monster or harm other monsters. Overall, it’s a pleasant game for children that wouldn’t take up much time and can be enjoyed by even younger children. Simply inform your children what cards they can get since they have energy and keep telling them when they are on short health. With just a little help, they’ll be able to take up the game quickly.
