Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Starter Set

This product was recommended by Jack Hayes from Everhearth Inn

If you are looking for a *truly *offline game, you don’t get much more authentic than gathering around a table with some friends and rolling dice. Dungeons and Dragons has got a bit of a reputation that can put off more casual players that might consider it too nerdy or too complicated to try. But there’s a reason it’s been around for over 40 years and has more players today than ever before. Very few other games come close to matching the sheer magic that a good session of Dungeons and Dragons can create. It’s unparalleled in the level of freedom and interactivity that it gives it’s players in a way that you’ve always wished you could get from other forms of media such as movies or video games. Compared to online games it’s also an environment that’s more social, relaxed, intimate and creative. It’s all about collaborative storytelling with friends and satisfies that deep human need to create things; and you’ll still be talking about the stories you create with your friends for years to come. You also don’t need to worry about memorising all the rules, the newest 5th edition of the game has modernised and simplified everything for new players; and anyway the rules can be taken as seriously or as unseriously as you want it to as a group. If you still aren’t sure, you can watch other groups play on YouTube and get a great idea of what’s involved. Trust us, after a couple of sessions you will become totally invested and never look back.

Risk of Rain 2

This product was recommended by Erik Pham from Health Canal

Risk of Rain 2 is a sequel to the outstanding game Risk of Rain 1. This game is a third-person shooter with massive replayability. You have tons of characters to unlock and every game session is different from the previous one since it’s a roguelike. You can play this game both as a single-player game and a multiplayer game. For me, the best games are those that you can replay over and over, and since this is a roguelike Risk of Rain 2 is a good game I can sit down to after work and do a quick 30 minutes to hour playthrough to destress and just enjoy the amazing gameplay.

If you need or prefer an offline PC game, then look no further than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. You can get lost in this massive open-world RPG game. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

This product was recommended by Alex Mastin from Homegrounds

Although possibly considered vintage in some circles, that doesn’t stop Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls being one of the most exciting offline role playing games where users old and young can enjoy an open world of play with an endless supply of quests. The game has really stood the test of time and is just as enjoyable now even if you are to the better graphics of recent years. It is impossible to fully describe the game as there is so much available story wise, but i would liken it to being able to manage your own story in a ‘Game of Thrones’ / ‘Lord of the Rings’ style world.
