As an owner of a small business, I know that it’s important for me to have a workplace safety plan in place. Even as a company in a traditional office environment, I can still be faced with safety situations including loss prevention, workplace security, and worker’s compensation.
Workplace Safety: A Guide For Small & Mid-Sized Companies by Dan Hopwood and Steve Thompson services as a guide for creating successful safety programs, including offering updated information and real-world examples. While the book covers topics I personally don’t have to deal with, such as OSHA regulatory requirements, it also covers a lot of topics that could be applicable to nearly any business. This includes disaster and emergency planning, injury management, workplace safety, workers’ compensation, and insurance. It’s a must-read for small and midsize companies.
