Heart Lake is located at the Adirondack Loj, home of the Adirondack Mountain Club. The Lake is shaped like a heart, and is best viewed from the summit of nearby Mount Jo. The short hike – 2.6 miles roundtrip, opens out at the summit to reveal a panoramic view of the Adirondack Mountains, and the glittering, heart-shaped gem of Heart Lake. Pop the question at the top – and celebrate with a #Dackie (an Adirondack selfie).
