#2 Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort
While not quite in Phoenix or explicitly a business hotel, the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort has to be among one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in for business. The resort itself is pretty amazing with 10 swimming pools, water slides, and even a golf resort. But one of the best features was the simple fact they have proper desks in their rooms! Overall, I'd say if your budget (or expense account) can stretch this is one of the nicest places to stay in the Phoenix area.

#3 Kimpton Palomar
For starters, it's a Kimpton, which means you're guaranteed clean accommodations, fresh design, and staff who are truly happy to see you. On top of that, the hotel is centrally located, and walking distance to numerous great restaurants, the Convention Center, Chase Field, and Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The pool, while not a rooftop, is a few floors up and does offer a nice city view! For exercise fiends, the hotel doesn't have a gym, but across the plaza is a full gym and fitness club, which members have complete access to. Cardio machines line the walls at this place, and there's a bigger selection of free weights, machines, and equipment than I have at my gym back home.

#4 Phoenix Marriott Resort Tempe at the Buttes
The hotel is nestled into some buttes right in the middle of the city very close to the Airport. Its a convenient location, but still feels a bit remote with the Buttes covering one side of the hotel. The hotel offers 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, and some fun waterfalls and desert features. There is poolside service, tennis courts, volleyball pits and outdoor patios in every room.
The hotel offers guided hikes through the desert landscape up to the top of the Buttes nearby. We love spending time at the Buttes and have been on 3 trips there. The surprising thing is that the cost is similar to other Marriot offerings in the area, but this is a resort with so many nice amenities.
