Casinos have always been popular, and this form of entertainment is even more enticing now that you can gamble online. The options are vast, and you can even enjoy bitcoin table games if you find the right website. There are dozens of different casino games you can find on the web these days, and all of those cards, chips, and dice can be a bit overwhelming if you have never actually gambled before.
That’s why we decided to give you a brief tutorial about every popular table game out there and explain each game’s basic rules. Here we go!
Roulette
Roulette is one of the oldest table games that’s still incredibly popular in casinos all over the world. The game involves a spinning wheel that has 36 or 37 numbered pockets, a ball, and a betting table on which you put your chips.
The object of the game is to predict where the ball will land on the wheel. However, betting doesn’t simply revolve around guessing the exact number — you can also bet on even and odd numbers, for the number to be red or black, numbers in a specific row, numbers divided by dozens, and more.
Poker
Unlike most table games, poker cannot be played by a single player (unless it’s video poker). It takes a minimum of two people to play the game, and some casinos allow up to ten players at a single table.
Poker is also special because it doesn’t involve much luck, and you will need a lot of skill and practice to beat good players. The object of the game is to make the best possible hand combination out of the cards dealt to you. There are plenty of different poker variations, and each one has its own rules.
Because it’s almost entirely skill-based, poker is often played on a professional level, which means the world’s best players compete against each other for multimillion cash prizes.
Blackjack
Blackjack, also called 21, is one of the oldest casino card games, and the favorite among many gamblers. Unlike poker, blackjack can be played by a single player.
The object of this game is to beat the dealer. Both you and the dealer get two cards each. The value of your cards is added together and must be closer to 21 than the dealer’s; otherwise, you lose.
After the first set of cards is dealt, the players choose whether they want to hit (draw another card) or stand (take their chances with the cards they currently got). After the decision is made, the dealer will unveil their cards and whoever is closer to 21 wins the hand.
Of course, there is more to be said about blackjack rules than what we mentioned here, so make sure to read the complete blackjack rulebook before taking a seat at the table.
Baccarat
Baccarat is very similar to blackjack, other than the fact that the player is not required to have a better hand in order to win, but only needs to bet on the winning hand. Everything is done by the dealer, and the player merely predicts which of the two hands is going to have a value closer to nine.
At the beginning of the baccarat round, players have three betting options – player bet, banker bet, or tie. Once the players wager, the dealer gives each player two cards and puts additional two cards on the banker spot. Whichever hand gets closer to nine wins, unless there’s a tie, when only tie bets win, and other bets are considered a push (no money is won or lost).
In some cases, a third card will be drawn, so take a look at these third card rules if you want to learn more.
Craps
Craps is a dice game that can include up to 20 players, each one getting a chance to throw the dice.
All players bet on pass or don’t pass and await the result of the two dice thrown. If the total value of the dice is a 7 or 11, all pass line bets win. A roll of 2, 3, or 12 is called craps and all pass line bets lose.
The player throwing the dice continues to shoot until any of the other numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) show up. That number then becomes the point and the shooter continues to throw until that number shows up again and all pass line bets win. In case the roll is a seven, pass line bets lose.
There are other craps rules you should be familiar with, so learn more about the game before hitting the table.
Very Nice!
