Long distance can only be kept alive if there is hope in the foreseeable future of NOT being long distance. Even though shipped away for duty need to have that hope there that one day this distance will disappear. BUT in the mean time, things to spice up that long distance relationship are letters. I know it seems so freaking old fashioned but sending a hand written letter that took time and effort to write and send is a romantic gesture that can continue to help reset that spark. You see how excited we all get when an amazon box arrives on our door step. It would be 10 times better if that amazon box was from the person we love that was 1000’s of miles away.
