In the movie Good Will Hunting, Will recommend a book that will knock your socks off: A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn. I bought the book and it did not disappoint!
If you want what American schools won’t teach you, read A People’s History of the United States. It dives into politics of the past the U.S. government would prefer the people not to know. For example, did you know at one point the United States was more apt to turn communist than Russia? And the rise of the two-party system arose naturally as a way to prevent that! Today, instead of the rich vs the poor, now we have the right versus the left. Class warfare is over, the rich have won. This book is a bomb of political history that will blow your mind. It’s a must-read for anyone seeking to know what schools won’t teach you.
