6 Romantic and Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Dates

Valentine’s Day is for doing something special with your significant other. However, it’s also one of the few holidays where many people find themselves going over budget. Thankfully, there are fun, inexpensive Valentine’s Day dates you can try this year.

Cook Dinner

Instead of going to an expensive restaurant, consider making a delicious meal at home. You won’t have to worry about making a reservation, leaving more time for you to enjoy each other’s company. You can find plenty of recipes online that you and your loved one can easily cook together at home.

Watch a Movie

Cozy up on the couch and rent a movie or find something to binge on Netflix. Also, since its Oscar season, there’s bound to be a selection of great movies playing at your local theater. Either way you’ll be spending time together, and that’s what’s important.

Go Sledding

It may sound odd, but sledding is a fun and simple winter activity that couples can partake in. Layer up and take advantage of the snow at one of the local hills or nearby park and recreation areas. Afterward, go home and enjoy some delicious hot chocolate to warm up.

Explore the City

If you live near a city, another fun and inexpensive Valentine’s Day date idea is to drive or take the train downtown. Wander the city streets and look out for free museums, parks, and famous landmarks you and your partner could explore. With all the options that come with being in a city, you’re sure to find a cheap and delicious spot to grab a meal.

Treats

Check out your local candy store or consider baking cookies at home. Valentine’s Day is synonymous with treats; it would be an outrage if you didn’t enjoy something sweet on the most romantic night of the year.

Game Night

Dust off your favorite board games and invite some friends over to play! Order a heart-shaped pizza, beverages, and dessert from a nearby pizza chain to make this Valentine’s Day date even more special.

No matter what you choose to do, it’s important that you both agree on the activity. You could even combine these ideas and make Valentine’s Day 2019 a truly unforgettable holiday. We hope you and your significant other have a great time together!
